I have a friend who just moved to Seattle. He's been trying to find cheap quality venues to watch live music. Does anybody have any suggestions?

The Crocodile! My favorite venue is in fact the Showbox but it's not cheap.

Yeah - it's hard to find cheap concerts nowadays - concert tickets have shot up everywhere...big bands are virtually impossible  to see live - unless you have money.

I've been told the Funhouse is a pretty great place to catch unique acts for a cheap price.  I have yet to go up there but a friend raves about that place.  They also apparently have a naked karaoke night.  Not sure what that is all about but I'm hoping to find out at some point!

What kind of music?

Indie Rock (El Corazon)
More Popular Stuff (Showbox)
DJ's (War Room or Trinity)
Rock (The Central)
All Ages Shows (Paradox, Ground Zero, Kirkland Teen Center, El Corazon)
Heavy Metal (Studio 7)

Any more questions just ask!
