Summer will be here soon. It already has my mind racing. Do you take hikes, blade by the beach, golf with movie execs, or shoot hoops at the Y? I want to know where you go when you go outside to play.

I like hiking in the Santa Monica mountains. The trail starting at Los Liones just off Sunset takes you up to the fire road that leads to a great look-out vista point, or even out to Topanga Canyon if you want to keep wandering. Good times!

The beach! Take the bikepath along the sand from Redondo Beach all the way to Malibu. If you poop out midway, throw the bike into a cab to get home. Not that I ever did that cab thing, no way.

Art Seco
I've been to Miami several times in my life, and I have to say that Art Deco is out and Art Seco is in! I took my Hot Pink Nike Airmax's on a wilderness vacation at Oakwilde camp and they haven't stopped bragging to the other shoes in my closest about it since. The trail filled is filled with a collection of picturesque streams and while the hike is demanding, the incline stays consistent making it enjoyable but not too strenuous. If you've ever had the urge to go trout fishing, I suggest you bring your tackle box, some swimming trunks and a friend with no inhibition.

I'm a big fan of the Colorado River when I can make it out there and I can play with my rivertoys... sadly gas prices are making this much more difficult of late... (though technically not in L.A. a majority of people out there on the weekends during the summer are Greater L.A. Weekend Ex-Pats)

Looking from the lighthouse in Byron Bay and watch the surfers pass by on extra long sets. Finally the sun begins to set behind the mountains and hits the clouds and waves pink.
