The Kerbey Lane Cafes should be wireless and have reasonably priced entrees. Thai Noodle House also.

From that list, I can vouch for Chango's, Casino el Camino, Portabla, Zen (especially on Third Thursdays), Hickory Street Bar & Grill, and El Sol y la Luna for reasonable entree prices.
I must have been mistaken about Kerbey... it's been a while. :)

Try Mozarts on Lake Austin Blvd. It's got wireless, coffee, pastries, and sits on the lake.

Disclosure: I manage the place.
B.D. Riley's (204 E 6th St near Brazos, 78701) is a free WiFi hotspot, and has been since 2002. It also has food, beer, live music 7 nights a week and a prime view of the denizens of 6th street wandering by it's floor-to-ceiling front windows while you surf & quaff.
For a great directory of other hotspots, try JiWire. JiWire has a pretty damn cool national directory & database of hotspots, available in offline form for searching before you get online as well. You can search by city, state or zip, and free or paid too. It works on Mac and PC and can be found at
